Winter Solstice Festival

Eating Tong Yuen definitely reminds me of the end of the year. Let bygones be bygones and I am looking forward to the upcoming year! :D In fact this year's celebration was slightly different compared to the previous years. Besides eating 'tong yuen', I was the 'lampost' of the day. On Tuesday, my friend actually pulled me to celebrate her bf's birthday. In addition, I was the ONLY 'lampost'of the day. >.<

Around 10 something in the morning, after our prayers for the festival, Joyce picked me up and we headed to Jinjang to give a surprise to the Jinjang boy. The birthday boy was extremely surprised I doubt.

The cake and the present

The cake didn't look good due to the misshaped icing :S I can draw better than them I bet

The guy's mother cooked all these for the ancestors. We had a 'light' lunch at his house before we left

The couple who has "fu cai xiong" XD

2 hot girls went to your house for birthday celebration, be proud low ching yong :P

Our initial plan was to go to Pyramid. A sudden urge of snapping pictures using a DSLR made us headed to a park named Metopolitan near his house. The park and the lake are huge. I love the scenary. :D

A peace in mind

I fall in love with the lake :)

I fall in love with the tree too :)

To recall back our childhood moments, we went to play at the playground too. Compared to my olden days, the equipment now have more variations and have multifunctions.

Low Ching Yong

I am very poor in riding a swing. Although my legs are not short, but my skills are limited. Teased by them non stop. Evidence are at below: ZZZ

Her legs are not long and yet she could swing quite high :S

Nothing else I can say

Damn it. I need help somemore :S

After a sweaty moment at the park, we went for a tea session. They suggested KTZ and without thinking twice I agreed. I just needed something that could quench my thirst at that moment. I went speechless when I saw this KTZ outlet.

Along the roadside!

This is really beyond my expectation because the KTZ in my mind is like something at SS2. I've never seen such KTZ branch along the roadside. In fact, this is the first KTZ outlet. It gave me a really big shock.

Skytrek Shah Alam

I was forced by Wong Kah Kei to this Skytrek thing in Shah Alam. She asked me to join her bunch of friends and ask my friends along at the same time because there will be discount by going in groups of more than 10. Sadly, ALL my friends couldn't make it. Some going Australia, some going Taiwan, some working and some just rejected me without giving me reasons. :(

Tuesday was the day and it gave me a shock due to the number of cars, and the number of people my friends managed to call. :S

7 cars - the bunch of humans

The Utarians

And somehow I love this picture:D Thanks to whoever who pushed her down :D

The Assuntarians!

Along the way, the couple

While waiting for briefing

After a short briefing, that’s the time we had to begin our challenge. I could hear the heartbeat of myself because I had phobia in heights. :S

The safety kits they helped us to wear it on. There are carabiners and pulley to keep us safe in the air.

The first trial challenge was to climb up the stairs. A short stairs yet I felt impatient to complete the task. After that,

We had to proceed to this thing. The gap was huge and every single step was unsteady. My legs were shaky and I was stuck In the middle because I was afraid of it. ZZZ

From the above, we need to fly over and aim this spider web. This took a lot of our energy because we had to force ourselves to climb up the reaching point.

The trial is accomplished after this mini flying fox.

The crowd. Everybody was amazed by the basic practices before we continue to the real challenge.

Me!!!! :P In fact my legs were shaky while snapping this. :S

After completed the trial, we are headed to the real challenge. Please see the height. It’s actually 12m from the ground. Once you’re up there, that’s it. Die! But there is this thing called “The Chicken Exit”. If you’re those timid person and doesn’t have the guts to complete the task, that’s the way for you to waste your money! :P

The view from the top

The netting or the so called “bridge” to reach to the other side.

Another 7m of climbing stairs and there you go, the zig zag bridge

After this challenge, we were supposed to head on a pole crossing thing. BUT, while some of us waiting for out turns in some other challenges before reaching this POLE CROSSING thing, we heard a loud breaking sound- The pole was broken by a guy :S SO, some unluky people like ME had to do FLYING FOX instead of the pole crossing challenge. Here, one of my friends started to cry and scream. That made all of us even more frightened.
At this time, my legs started to cramp and numb. Partly because I was afraid of the flying fox. Undoubtedly, I was hungry. The whole activity lasted about 6 hours in total and I only had cereals for my breakfast. :(

After that, we had to walk on these unstable poles. Due to my hunger and excitement of getting food, I actually swung over without walking on it. LOL. Ok la, I was afraid of this challenge too. :P I need to finish it as fast as I could.

We headed on this: err I don’t know what is this called. Well basically we had to swing ourselves to each step of the shaky wood using the ropes there.

A few flying fox before we reached this final netting. YAY! Mission accomplished! :D

A final group photo before we leave

Bye! This is a good life experience and a place to overcome your fear of height. Something came across to my mind while doing this challenge in the air: We have to continue doing in what we’re doing and there’s no turning back in lifetime. What we can do is to overcome it by continuing all the challenges ahead and move forward to meet our goal.

-

To boost up our energy after hours of strong exercise, we went to Klang for Bak Kut Teh. Obstacles ahead because the shop we’re headed too was closed and they had to figure some other places to eat.

Ciao!

I am lazy to give further details because I have a lot of things to blog! So forgive me. :) Overall, we did enjoy ourselves and the Bak Kut Teh was nice. :)
